Import columns aren't recognized

Fix CSV and Excel files that import the wrong values or nothing at all.

Fixes

"Could not read that file"

Make sure it's a real .csv or .xlsx (not .xls or .numbers). Re-save it from Excel or Google Sheets (File → Download → CSV).

Nothing, or the wrong column, was imported as length or width

The first row must be headers. Rename them to plain names: name, length, width, qty. See the column reference.

Sizes came in wrong

Plain numbers use your current entry unit. Put units in the cells (23 3/4", 600mm), or switch entry unit before importing.

Only 5 rows imported

The free tools import 5 rows per spreadsheet. Paid plans import everything.

Extra columns appeared

Columns Cutlistor doesn't recognize become custom fields. Delete them from the file if you don't need them.
