The two methods
| Method | What it does | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| Least waste (default) | Fewest bars. Finds efficient mixed cutting patterns for near-optimal yield. | Pricey stock, one-off jobs. |
| Batch cutting | Cuts equal lengths on dedicated bars so you set a stop block once and repeat-cut. Each length's small leftover shares a few mixed bars to keep waste low. | Production work: studs, balusters, framing packs. |
