Cut list optimizer with no download required
If you came here looking for a cut list optimizer to download, here is the short answer: there isn't one, because there doesn't need to be. Cutlistor runs in the browser you already have. That is better for most people and worse for some, and this page says which is which rather than selling you past the question.
Both open immediately. No signup, no installer, no email.

Why there is no installer
Downloadable cut list software carries costs that have nothing to do with cutting material: you need admin rights on the machine, a build for your operating system, and a habit of installing updates. Plenty of shop computers fail at least one of those, and plenty of the people asking for a download are on a Mac looking at a Windows-only .exe.
Running in the browser removes all three. It also means the person doing the estimating on an office laptop and the person reading the cut plan on a tablet next to the saw are looking at the same thing, without either of them installing anything.
What you give up, honestly
Browser tools are not strictly better. Two real trade-offs, both of which should push some people toward installed software:
- No offline use. If your workshop genuinely has no reliable internet, a desktop optimizer will serve you better. This is not a limitation we can design around.
- No deep integration with locally installed CAD. Desktop software can hook directly into a local design package. Cutlistor imports 3D meshes (glTF, GLB, Collada) and spreadsheets, and exports DXF for CNC/CAM, which covers most handoffs - but it is a file exchange, not a live plugin.
If neither of those applies to you, the download you were searching for would have been a detour.
Browser vs downloaded desktop software
| Cutlistor (browser) | Downloaded desktop software | |
|---|---|---|
| Installation | None | Installer + admin rights |
| Operating systems | Any with a modern browser | Usually Windows only |
| Works offline | No | Yes |
| Updates | Automatic | Manual, per machine |
| Use on a shop tablet | Yes, same URL | Rarely |
| Cost to start | Free, no account | Varies; often paid up front |
| DXF export for CNC | Yes | Varies |
A note on APKs and cracked builds
Searches for “cut list optimizer mod apk” and “pro apk free download” turn up files that are not published by any of the vendors named in them. Installing one puts an unsigned binary from an unknown source onto a machine that probably also holds your customer quotes. There is no Cutlistor APK; anything claiming to be one is not ours.
If the appeal was the price rather than the format, the free tier is the legitimate version of that: 3 pdf exports per day (editing and re-optimizing are unlimited), 20 items cut list limit, permanently, no account.
Start without installing anything
Both optimizers open straight into a working tool. Sheet for nesting rectangles on plywood, MDF or melamine; linear for cutting lengths from lumber, trim, pipe or bar stock.
Already have your parts in a spreadsheet? Grab a sample to see the expected columns, replace the rows, and import it — nothing to install for that either.
FAQ
- Is there a free cut list optimizer download?
- Not from Cutlistor - there is nothing to download. It runs in the browser, which means no installer, no admin rights, no Windows-only build, and no update to chase. Open the page and start entering parts. 3 PDF exports a day (unlimited editing) are free with no account.
- Is there a Cutlistor download for PC or Windows 10?
- No, and deliberately so. A browser tool works identically on Windows 10, Windows 11, macOS, Linux and ChromeOS, including on locked-down shop computers where you cannot install software. If your requirement is specifically an offline desktop application, a different tool will serve you better - see the honest comparison below.
- Is there a Cutlistor APK or mobile app?
- There is no APK and no app store listing. The site works in mobile and tablet browsers, so you can pull up a cut plan on a phone in the shop. Anything advertised as a 'Cutlistor mod APK' or 'pro APK' is not ours and should not be installed.
- Does it work offline?
- No. Optimization runs against the site, so you need a connection. This is the real trade-off of a browser tool: if your shop has no reliable internet, installed desktop software is the better choice and we would rather say so than waste your time.
- Do I need to create an account?
- Not for the free optimizers - they run with no signup at all. An account is only needed to save projects, keep a stock inventory, or export DXF, which start at $12 a month.
- Is it really free, or free-to-try?
- Genuinely free within limits, permanently: 3 PDF exports per day and up to 20 cut list items. Not a countdown trial. The limits are published on the pricing page rather than discovered when you hit them.
