Applying the code to a yearly plan discounts a full year, so it is worth substantially more than applying it to a monthly plan.

Exclusions and the catch
Every discount has a catch. Here is this one’s, stated before you enter a card rather than after.
- First payment only. Every subsequent renewal is at full price. On a monthly plan that means the saving is $1.80 once, not every month.
- Does not stack. Not with the yearly billing discount as a compounding second discount, and not with the free trial - a trial defers payment, so there is no first payment for the code to reduce.
- Not retroactive. If you already subscribed at full price, the code cannot be applied backwards to that charge.
- Can be withdrawn. It is a standing welcome offer, not a contractual term.
