Cutlistor free trial: 14 days, full access

Every paid plan starts with a 14-day free trial. You get the complete plan - saved projects, stock inventory, DXF export, AI plan import - not a stripped-down demo. A card is required to start, and cancelling before day 14 means you are never charged.

Cancel any time in 14 days and you pay nothing. No sales call to book, no demo to sit through.

What you get during the trial

The trial is the real plan. There is no feature flag quietly switched off for trial accounts, and no watermark on exports.

  • Unlimited sheet and linear optimizations, with no daily calculation cap.
  • Saved projects, so a job survives closing the tab.
  • Stock inventory, so your sheet and bar stock persists between jobs.
  • DXF export for CNC/CAM handoff, plus kerf-aware PDF cut plans.
  • AI plan import from PDFs and photos, and 3D CAD mesh import.

Pro-plan caps still apply during a Pro trial: 250 saved projects, 2500 total stock quantity and 150 AI plan imports per month. Trial on Business if you want to test without those ceilings.

Why a card is required

Worth being straight about this, because it is the main reason people bounce off trial pages. The trial runs through Stripe checkout, which needs a payment method on file to create the subscription. Nothing is charged during the 14 days.

If you are not willing to enter a card to evaluate software - which is a reasonable position - use the free tier instead. It runs the identical optimization engine with no account at all, and it is not a countdown: it does not expire.

Exactly what happens after day 14

  • If you do nothing, the plan you chose begins billing at its standard price and your work continues uninterrupted.
  • If you cancel before the trial ends, you are not charged, and access continues to the end of the trial period rather than being cut off the moment you click cancel.
  • Either way, projects you saved stay in your account. Dropping to the free tier limits what you can create; it does not delete what you made.

Which plan should you trial?

Trial the plan you would actually buy - switching later is prorated, so there is no penalty for guessing slightly wrong.

  • Pro ($12/mo): For regular projects and small shops.
  • Business ($25/mo): Unlimited scale for solo power users.
  • Team ($99/mo): Shared workspace for your shop—billed per organization.

Full breakdown of caps and billing terms is on the pricing page.

FAQ

How long is the Cutlistor free trial?
14 days from the moment you start it. You get the full plan during that period - nothing is held back or watered down for trial users.
Do I need a credit card to start the free trial?
Yes. The trial is started through Stripe checkout, so a payment method is required up front. You are not charged during the trial period, and cancelling before it ends means you are never charged.
What happens when the trial ends?
On day 15 the plan you selected starts billing at its normal price - Pro $12/mo, Business $25/mo, Team $99/mo. Cancel any time before then from the dashboard and nothing is charged.
Is the trial limited in features?
No. Trials run the full plan, including saved projects, stock inventory, DXF export, AI plan import and 3D CAD import. The only caps are the ones the plan itself has - for Pro, 250 saved projects and 150 AI scans a month.
Can I try Cutlistor without giving a card at all?
Yes - use the free tier rather than the trial. The browser optimizers give you 3 PDF exports a day (unlimited editing) and 20 cut list rows with no account and no payment method. It is the same optimization engine; you just cannot save work or export DXF.
What happens to my projects if I do not subscribe?
Projects you saved during the trial remain in your account. You lose the ability to create and edit beyond free-tier limits until you subscribe, but nothing is deleted out from under you.
