Cutlistor pricing: what it costs, and what you actually get
Cutlistor is free to use in the browser with daily limits, and $12 per month when you need saved projects, stock inventory and DXF export. Every number on this page - prices, caps, quotas - is read from the same configuration the product enforces, so it cannot be out of date.
No sales call, no quote request, no demo gate.

Plans and prices
Four tiers, including free. The only difference between them is capacity and where your work is stored - the optimization engine is identical on every plan, including the free one.
| Plan | Monthly | Yearly | Yearly saving |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | $0 | — |
| Pro | $12/mo | $99/yr ($8.25/mo) | $45 (31%) |
| Business | $25/mo | $249/yr ($20.75/mo) | $51 (17%) |
| Team | $99/mo | $999/yr ($83.25/mo) | $189 (16%) |
All prices in USD. Team is billed per organization, not per seat.

The limits, stated plainly
Most pricing pages list what you get. These are the ceilings you will actually hit, so you can work out whether a plan fits before you pay rather than after.
- Free tier: 3 PDF exports per day with unlimited editing and re-optimizing in between, 20 cut list rows, 5-row spreadsheet import, 3 AI plan scans and 3 3D imports per month. Nothing is saved between sessions.
- Pro: unlimited calculations and cut list rows, but capped at 250 saved projects, 2500 total stock quantity (the sum of your stock line quantities), 150 AI plan imports per month and 200 stored 3D model uploads per month.
- Business: the Pro caps are removed. This is the plan for shops running continuous production rather than project-by-project work.
- Team: everything in Business for the whole workspace, up to 5 seats. Pending invites count against the seat limit.
If you are a one-person shop doing cabinetry project by project, Pro is almost certainly the right plan and the 250-project cap will not bind for years. Move to Business when monthly AI scans or stock volume become the constraint, not before.
Real total cost, worked through
Three realistic cases, so “how much will this actually cost me” has a number.
- Hobbyist, a few builds a year. Free tier. $0 per year. The daily calculation limit resets every day, so a weekend project fits comfortably.
- Solo cabinet maker, weekly jobs. Pro billed yearly: $99 for the year, which is $8.25 a month and saves $45 against paying monthly. One avoided sheet of cabinet-grade plywood usually covers most of that.
- Shop with 5 people sharing projects. Team billed yearly: $999 for the workspace, or $199.80 per seat per year at full occupancy. Central billing, so you are not expensing five separate cards.
Billing terms
- Billed monthly or yearly in USD through Stripe. Yearly is charged once, up front.
- Cancel any time from the dashboard. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for - you keep access until then.
- No setup fee, no per-export charge, no minimum term, no annual contract required.
- Trials convert to a paid subscription automatically at the end of 14 days unless cancelled first.
- Switching plans is prorated by Stripe, so upgrading mid-cycle only charges the difference.
Ways to pay less
There is one public discount and one structural saving. We would rather point you at both than have you find out afterwards.
- Pay yearly. Between 16% and 31% off depending on plan. This is the larger saving and it is permanent.
- The 15% welcome discount. Code
CUT15WELCOMEapplies to your first payment. Full terms are on the discount page.
How this compares to other cut list software
Price only means something next to an alternative. These comparisons name both products’ prices and say where the other tool wins - in two of them the honest recommendation is the competitor.
- vs CutList Plus fx — subscription against an $89–$499 one-time licence, worked out over five years.
- vs CutList Optimizer — the default browser optimizer, and what the free tiers actually throttle.
- vs MaxCut — $12/mo per account against $20/mo per device.
- All six comparisons — including OptiCutter, Cutlist Evolution and Excel.
Next step
If you have not used Cutlistor yet, start with the free optimizer - it is the same engine, and you will know within one layout whether it suits your work. If you already know you need saved projects or DXF export, go straight to a plan.
FAQ
- Is Cutlistor free?
- Yes, with limits, and the main limit is often misread. The sheet and linear optimizers run in your browser with no account and no card. You can edit parts and re-optimize the layout as many times as you like; what is capped is 3 PDF exports (or new projects) per day, and up to 20 cut list items. You cannot save projects, keep a stock inventory, or export DXF on the free tier - those are the reasons people upgrade.
- What does Cutlistor cost per month?
- Pro is $12 per month or $99 per year ($8.25 per month equivalent); Business is $25 per month or $249 per year ($20.75 per month equivalent); Team is $99 per month or $999 per year ($83.25 per month equivalent).
- Is there a cheaper option if I only need a few jobs a year?
- Yes - use the free optimizers. Iterating on a layout is unlimited, so if you export fewer than 3 PDFs on any given day and do not need saved projects or DXF, the free tier is genuinely enough and we would rather you used it than paid for capacity you do not need.
- Do I need a credit card to try a paid plan?
- Yes. The 14-day trial is started through checkout, so a card is required. Cancel before the trial ends and you are not charged.
- Can I cancel any time?
- Yes. Subscriptions are managed through Stripe and cancel at the end of the current billing period. You keep access until that period ends; there are no cancellation fees and no minimum term.
- Is the Team plan per seat?
- No. Team is billed per organization at $99 per month and includes up to 5 seats, counting both members and pending invites. That is a flat workspace price, not a per-user price.
